QUICK AND EASY TO USE

Encapsulate your sample by simply adding a gel concentrate to your whole blood sample and transferring to a vial containing gelation beads. After a few minutes, the whole blood and Gel mixture will gel in situ and is ready for storage or shipment. When ready to use, a gentle Dissolution Buffer is added to dissolve the gel, the beads are filtered out, and the whole blood sample ready to use.

APPLICATIONS

i) Allow granular immunophenotyping for major and rare subpopulations.

 

Comprehensive immunophenotyping shows that BloodReady preserves the cell viability of major and rare immune cell populations in whole blood including: T Cells (CD3+), Helper T cells (CD4+), Cytotoxic T cells (CD8+), Regulatory T cells (CD25+ CD127-/dim), Gamma delta T cells (TCRγδ+), and Natural Killer T cells (CD56+). NK Cells (CD56+ CD16+), CD57+ NK cells, Early NK cells (CD56+ CD16-), and Mature NK cells (CD56+ CD16+). B Cells (CD19+), Transitional B cells (CD27- IgD+), Non-Switched B Cells (CD27+ IgD+), and Switched B cells (CD27+ IgD-). Innate Lymphoid Cells (ILC) (CD127+), ILCs CD2+ CD4+, and ILCs CD2+ CD4-. Monocytes (CD4+ HLA-DR-), Classical Monocytes (CD14+ CD16-), Intermediate Monocytes (CD14+ CD16+), and Non-Classical Monocytes (CD14- CD16+). Granulocytes (SSChi, CD15+ CD11b+ cells).

ii) Improve epitope preservation compared to fixation

BloodReadyTM preserves the expression of >90% epitopes screened on lymphocytes, >80% on monocytes and >70% on granulocytes. Comparison with major competitor fixative solution Cyto-Chex shows that BloodReadyTM preferably preserves several epitopes including CD62L, CD317, CD82, CD367, and integrin b7, while also not limiting downstream application due to fixation. 

iii) Isolate live functional PBMCs

Storage of whole blood in BloodReady improves PBMC yield, post-rest recovery, and response to IL-2 stimulation when returned to culture. BloodReadyTM is a suitable storage solution for subsequent PBMC isolation and application.
